On the morning of Saturday, March 14, 2026, MOI Kompong Dewa Football Club held a groundbreaking ceremony to officially commence the construction of the “Kompong Dewa Arena”, located in Preah Sihanouk Province.
Club President Mr. Yin Chanthurano stated that Kompong Dewa Arena is part of the club leadership’s long-term vision to develop standard sports infrastructure and create a positive environment for competitions, player training, and youth development. The stadium will contribute to the growth of football in Cambodia and in Preah Sihanouk Province by providing opportunities for players and young people from both local and other regions to train, compete, and watch matches in a professional setting.
In addition, the stadium is expected to attract local and international supporters and tourists to attend matches, thereby helping to stimulate the regional economy. The stadium will also always be open to welcome the Cambodia National Football Team for any needs, such as hosting international matches and training camps in preparation for future tournaments.
The stadium will be constructed in phases in accordance with AFC standards and will have a seating capacity of nearly 10,000 spectators (approximately 8,000–9,000). It will also feature floodlighting for night matches and various fan service facilities, including merchandise shops and food outlets.
The club president further added that this stadium represents an important historic milestone for the club. It reflects the club’s vision and commitment to strengthening its foundation and achieving higher standards. The new stadium stands as a symbol of progress and the club’s long-term ambition. He expressed pride in seeing this project become a reality and is confident that it will bring growth and success to the club, its players, supporters, and the wider community.
